never trust the midgets!

We stopped in this shop to buy the obligitary postcards (much easier than writing e-mails to everyone!) and when I asked the lady at the counter if they had stamps, she pointed behind me. There outside the door waving frantically at me was a crazy looking Cuban midget gesturing for me to come out to him.
I went out to see what he wanted (he wasn’t a midget, he just didn’t have any legs. No joke.) and he pulled out some stamps for me to buy. I tried to explain which ones I needed and he reassured me that these were what I wanted (by nodding so hard I thought he was going to fall over). I couldn’t really say no to the poor legless guy so I bought them, put them on the postcards and left them in my bag til the last day.
Finally remembering them before I left for the airport, I pulled them out and just before posting them I noticed the year printed on the stamps...1993! So nobody gets their postcards as I couldn’t send them with those-I won’t be feeling sorry for anymore legless people I come across from now on!!
